Material
Float Glass: Clear glass is the most common type of glass used for windows, doors, etc. in buildings.
Tempered Glass: It is strong and resistant to impact, used in safe buildings like doors and partition walls.
Laminated Glass: It is made of a layer of PVB film between two layers of glass. It stops noise and is fireproof. It is suitable for noisy or safety-conscious places.
Low-E Glass: A metal oxide film on glass insulates well, uses less energy and is used in energy-efficient buildings.
Reflective Glass: Glass is coated with metal to reflect light. It controls indoor light and saves energy on building facades and glass curtain walls.
Tinted Glass: Metal oxides or other pigments are added to the glass to give it different colours, often used in decorative architecture.
Self-cleaning Glass: Glass coated with nanomaterials cleans itself, reducing maintenance costs. This is used on high-rise buildings.
